Room Allocation The Room Allocation Chair will work with the school district and BC Games staff to determine the schools that will be used as accommodation sites for Games participants, as well as the assignment of sports to each of the schools. Once sports have been allocated to schools, gender-specific rooms assignments will be determined. Preliminary assignments are made based on estimates for these Games and actual numbers from previous Games provided by BC Games staff; fine-tuning will occur in the few weeks prior to the Games. Site Preparation The Site Preparation Chair is responsible for leading a team that will transform school classrooms into dorm rooms by moving desks and other equipment as needed, and by transporting the correct number of foam mattresses from storage to each school. This area is also responsible for cleaning the foam mattresses prior to placement in the schools, retrieving mattresses from the classrooms to return them to storage when the Games are over, and returning classrooms to original, post Games, condition.
