In addition, the Medals Chair is responsible for the delivery of the coach medallions to each sport venue. Receptions This Receptions Chair is responsible for planning, managing, overseeing, and coordinating all details for the Community Awareness Event scheduled approximately six months prior to the Games, the Torchlighting Reception held approximately 100 days prior to the Games, the Provincial Government Reception held after the Opening Ceremony, and the Civic Luncheon on the Friday of the Games weekend. This involves securing venues, catering, decorations, set-up/take-down, entertainment, etc., as applicable, for each event. They will develop scripts for each event and work with BC Games staff on the details. Guest lists and numbers are provided from the Guest Registration Chair.
