• Staff Member: A staff member working for the BC Games Society who is paid directly through our payroll system and receives a T4 at the end of the year, and whose work and/or services are under the direct management of the organization and who regularly receives compensation for such services. • Full-time Staff Member: A staff member who is scheduled to work 35 hours or more per week. • Part-time Staff Member: A staff member who is consistently scheduled to work less than 35 hours per week. • Regular Staff Member: A staff member who has successfully completed their probationary period. • Temporary Staff Member : A staff member who is hired for a pre-established period, such as during peak workloads, for special projects, for summer employment, or to provide vacation or other leave relief. • Casual Staff Member : A staff member who works an irregular schedule, working only the number of hours needed. This is scheduled on an ad-hoc basis. Casual staff members are entitled to compensation for time worked. • Contractor : the BC Games Society may on occasion also work with Contractors. Contractors are not considered staff members and are held to the terms and conditions as negotiated in their individual contracts.
