The BC Games Society is a Crown service-delivery agency operating under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport. Its primary function is to organize the BC Summer and Winter Games and support Team BC operations on behalf of the Ministry in communities across B.C. The Society receives close to one hundred percent of its funding from the Ministry.

Accordingly, its members and employees are entitled to the government rates from April 1, 2025 until March 31, 2026 whenever they are engaged in government business.
