various committees.  Liaising with the Board, the Minister, local MLAs, local mayors and council, and local school board chair and trustees in planning and organizing a multi-sport event, ensuring that any sensitive issues have been covered.  Disbursing funds to host societies as outlined in their AFA within their approved budget.  Ensuring the host societies’ Boards of Directors keep within their approved budget.  Coordinating transportation of all participants (athletes, coaches, officials) to/from the Games.  Making capital goods acquisitions and disposals in accordance with the long- term plans of the Society.  Accounting to the Board for the stewardship of the granted funds by ensuring the accounting records are up-to-date and preparing financial reports, including Powering Potential Fund reports, for review by the Board at least three times per year.  Ensuring that the conditions for the granting of funds, as laid out in the GFA are fulfilled.  Adhering to the financial administration policies and procedures as approved by the Board.  Coordinating multi-sport games that celebrate sport and culture in partnership with other sport and cultural organizations in the Province, as applicable.  Keeping abreast of developments in multi-sport events through communication with provincial sport and games organizations in other jurisdictions and through attendance of related conventions as deemed beneficial by the President and CEO and as approved by the Board.  Identifying, researching, negotiating, and closing contracts with corporate partners, to defray Games’ costs.
